Joe Harrell Smith, Sr.

Mr. Joe Harrell Smith, Sr, 83, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon, TN. He was born on March 30, 1938 in Whiteville, N.C. to the late David Smith and Bonnie Lee Hughes Smith. He was a retired self- employed machinist, a U.S. Army Veteran and a devoted Hollow Rock- Bruceton Central Tiger sports fan. He is survived by his wife: Selma Pearl Arnold Smith of Camden. Two daughters: Jennifer (Michael) Durham of Tupelo, MS, and Jessie Smith of Camden, TN. Four sons: Joe Smith, Jr. of Union City, TN, Anthony ( Barbara) Smith of Andover, Minnesota , Jason Smith of Camden, TN and Adam Smith of Camden, TN. One sister: Jane Davis of N.C. and One brother: Floyd Smith of Chicago, IL. Seven grandchildren: Stephanie, Jordan, Emily, Alyssia, Jenna, Julia and Matthew and one great-grandchild: Silas. His best friend and sports buddy Bobby Kirby of Hollow Rock, TN. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 27 from 4:00 PM till 9:00PM at Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation will follow.
